"DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and
radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from
military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the
capabilities of extremists —including lone wolves or small terrorist cells— to carry out
violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist
groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from
the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.
If you are a disgruntled Veteran considering taking an extreme path, take heart. You are not alone. Many other Vets share you feelings. But violence and extremism are not the answer. Veterans joining in non-violent political activism can change America in four election cycles. Veterans can find and elect honest men to run this nation. We do not have to settle for a class of professional politicians who have learned that they must "Go along to get along."
We have taken an oath to God to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The biggest enemy of the Constitution today is APATHY! Who else than Veterans have taken an oath to God to defend liberty?
VetXPRS can teach you how to start building a life, and a country, based on what you want. Just try 'Active Conditioning'. Remember that rewiring your brain is time consuming and requires intense desire and repeated practice. It's the same with political action. It takes desire. It takes practice.
You can reprogram yourself to build the life you want instead of simply coping with crisis after crisis. You can lead your neighbors away from apathy and into powerful action. You don't have to be Martin Luther King, or Ghandi. Remember your oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. No one has released you from that oath. Stop being a Victim. Start being a leader.
